5 authentic Coffee & Lunch Spots in Mallorca

When I think back on my many trips to Mallorca, some of my favorite memories are built around simple things — a really good coffee, a sun-drenched terrace, that first bite of something fresh and local. I’ve slowly collected a little list of places I keep going back to, not just for the food (though it's always delicious), but for how they feel. These spots carry the same spirit I try to bring into &Friends — honest, warm, full of character, authentic and connected to their surroundings.
So, if you’re heading to the island soon, here are five of my personal favorites — cafés and small restaurants that I love for slow lunches, cardamom-scented mornings, or a quiet moment with a sea view tucked away in a little Bay.
1. Fika Farina, Palma
For the perfect cardamom roll & people-watching
This is always my first stop when I land in Palma. Fika Farina is a dreamy café tucked in a calmer part of the city, with Scandinavian simplicity and Mediterranean soul. Their Bollo de Cardamomo is my absolute favorite — soft, sweet, and perfectly spiced. I usually grab a coffee and sit outside for a bit, watching the slow rhythm of the street. It’s a peaceful pause before wandering through Palma’s old town. (Just avoid the summer months if you can — July to September gets very busy.)
2. De Monio, Deià
A tiny gem with handmade everything
Deià is already one of the most magical places on the island, and De Monio fits right in — creative, humble, and full of flavor. It’s a tiny place, and everything is handmade with a lot of love. Their menu changes often, but everything I’ve ever tried has been special. What makes it even better is their beautifully curated little store. I always end up browsing for a while — they have lovely ceramics, handmade jewellery, and thoughtful gifts to bring back home. It’s the kind of place you walk into and instantly feel inspired. PS: their house wine is also super good to take away for nice evening picnics at the beach.
3. Restaurant Es Port de Valldemossa
Lunch with the best sea view (and an unforgettable paella)
Tucked away in Port de Valldemossa, this family-run spot feels like a true hidden gem. Restaurant Es Port de Valldemossa sits right by the sea, with dramatic cliffs surrounding you and the sound of waves in the background. We had a fresh fish and mussel paella there that I still dream about — absolutely incredible. The kind of meal you linger over, glass of wine in hand, sun on your skin. Go early for lunch — it fills up quickly and the magic is best enjoyed in the quieter hours.
4. Bistro Calle Cruz, Campos
All-day goodness + a perfume I can’t stop wearing
We stumbled upon this gem while visiting the Saturday market in Campos, and it’s been a favorite ever since. Bistro Calle Cruz is the kind of place that feels easy — warm staff, beautiful food, and everything made with care. Whether you stop in for breakfast, lunch, or just grab pastries to take to the beach, it always hits the spot. And — surprise — they also carry one of the best perfumes I’ve ever bought. Light, fresh, and a little mysterious. I’ve come back for it more than once.
5. Bodega Barahona (Casa Manolo), Ses Salines
An institution for slow evening dinners
While this spot is technically more of a dinner place, I couldn’t leave it off the list. Casa Manolo is one of those iconic, quietly elegant Mallorcan spots that has stood the test of time. Located right in the heart of Ses Salines, it’s where locals and travelers come together over fresh fish, good wine, and a warm evening breeze. I love sitting outside, ordering a few small plates, and letting the night unfold slowly. It’s the kind of place where conversation lingers and the table fills with laughter.
Each of these spots holds something special — not just a good menu, but a sense of care and place.
I hope you get to visit one (or all) of them on your next trip to Mallorca. And if you do, take it slow. Let the sunlight in, savor every bite, and notice the details.
With love,Yasmin
